Olympic STEM Pathways Partnership

The Olympic STEM Pathways Partnership (OSPP) project is a marquis project for OESD 114 and Washington STEM’s West Sound STEM Network. Coordinated by a multi-stakeholder team that includes University of Washington scientists; regional Math, Science, and ELA Coordinators; the OESD 114 Director of STEM Programs and Outreach; Olympic College representation; Suquamish Tribal Fisheries; the Center for Strengthening the Teaching Profession; and K12 representation. The OSPP aims to develop and support STEM teacher leaders to increase teacher content mastery and skills in STEM subjects, operationalize Washington State Learning Standards into classroom practice and to build capacity and support for meaningful teacher-research partnerships. Other goals include the improvement of STEM achievement for students, to strengthen the STEM pipeline, and to catalyze understanding of STEM skills and content across the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas.
