Making Sensor Observations Easy and Fun!

Weather

Anyone living in the Pacific Northwest knows that weather conditions are extremely dynamic. In marine systems, temperature and light intensity are fundamental controls on biological productivity. Weather boards can be integrated into the SeaState Odroid sensors for investigation of these (and other) parameters in local marine systems, creeks and ponds. The Sequim School Disticts Science Fair Club utilized the SeaState Odroids and Weather Boards to collect light intensity and temperature data to develop models that would allow them to choose optimal sites for eelgrass restoration in and around the Straits of Juan de Fuca. The ODROID Weather Boards allow measurement of temperature, barometric pressures and humidity, UV index and ambient light concurrently.
